Interview with Event Director Orsolya Kelemen
1. Can you briefly introduce yourself and share a bit about your professional background?
I have spent around two decades in Talent Acquisition, first at agencies and later in leadership roles at global companies. Recently, I have shifted into a project- and development-focused HR role, combining my experience with my passion for supporting people and organizations grow. I hold a degree in Organizational Development, I am an accredited ICF coach (ACC), and I deeply value inclusion, diversity, and meaningful connections. Outside of work, you will find me exploring the world – mountains, nature, culture, movement or culinary experiments – always seeking new perspectives and inspiration.
2. What inspired you to take on the role of Events Director, and how does your professional background influence your approach to designing events for The Network?
I love being part of a community that inspires connection and growth. Supporting female talent is important to me, and this role is a chance to contribute meaningfully while also developing myself. People often say my enthusiasm is sparkling, and I hope it can bring energy and impact to the events. It’s also an opportunity to expand my network, engage with Luxembourg’s professional scene, and help create a space where diverse voices are valued and empowered.
3. How do you envision the role of events in furthering The Network’s mission to connect, empower, and inspire professional women in Luxembourg?
In today’s AI-spiced, remote-working world, human connection is a true catalyst. Events give us the chance to bring members together and build relationships that wouldn’t happen anywhere else. Great events would empower professional women by creating spaces to learn, inspire, and support one another, helping our community thrive both personally and professionally
4. What themes or topics do you see as priorities for future events, especially considering the evolving needs of professional women today?
For future events, we want to focus not just on the topics members care about most – like career decisions, public speaking, entrepreneurship, and mental health – but also on how we explore them. Making events interactive and hands-on ensures that members can engage deeply, share their expertise and take away practical insights they can apply. By combining meaningful learning experiences with engaging new formats, we can ensure events are relevant, dynamic and valuable. At the same time, we want to celebrate our community, explore ways to give back to society, and try new types of events that inspire and connect members in fresh ways.
5. Finally, what message would you like to share with the members of The Network as you begin this new chapter?
Never stop exploring… and try not to trip over the process! As a solution-driven, impatient perfectionist, I have learnt that growth and results often happen in their own rhythm, and whatever happens, good or bad, it’s always progress, even if it’s hard to see at the time. So let’s try boldly, embrace the “oops” moments, and enjoy the ride together.
