In anticipation of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, we hosted the Luxembourg premiere of “Breathing Underwater”, which turned out to be a very moving event.
A big thank you to our partners: LILLA - Ladies In Law Luxembourg Association and the Luxembourg Ladies Ambassadors Club (LLAC) represented by H.E. Mrs. Livia Rusu, Ambassador of Romania, and H.E. Mrs. Edna M. Marta, Ambassador of Capo Verde.
Special thanks to our Events Director, Anne-Claire Delval, for her expert moderation, and to Eric Lamhène the film’s writer and director, who introduced the film with passion.
We were honored to hear insights from Carla Juri, the film’s lead actress, and Rae Lyn Lee, writer and cinematographer, during the Q&A session.
We also thank Ana Pinto, Presidente of La Voix des Survivant(e)s, for her advocacy on behalf of survivors of sexual violence.
Gratitude as well to Christine Renzi from Login-In (Foyer Sud), a vital organization offering day-and-night refuge for women in distress.
This event is a reminder of our collective responsibility to advocate, support, and raise awareness for the Violence against women.
