Interview with Partnership Director Esther Cabeza
- Can you briefly introduce yourself and share a bit about your professional background?
I am Esther Cabeza, I was born in the elegant and vibrant city of Barcelona, with strong Spanish roots and a passion that deeply defines who I am. I moved to Luxembourg as a young teenager where I discovered a rich cultural environment that shaped my perspective early on.
I hold a degree in Special Needs Education, and I am a certified mediator. While my career took a different path into Asset Management it has led me to specialise in building and developing strategic business relationships. For over 25 years I have been driven by creating and nurturing strong connections with colleagues, clients, partners and suppliers. I also have a strong interest in human psychology and communication, and the impact on relationships and well-being.
- What inspired you to join The Network and take on the role of Partnership Director?
What inspired me to join The Network was the people behind it, their vision, their passion and determination to build something lasting. I immediately felt I was in the right place.
Stepping into this leadership role allows me to bring my perspective, influence and experience to shaping the future of the association and its members with purpose and intention. I am eager to build strong foundations with partners who want to be part of this journey and contribute to a community where women feel supported, empowered and connected.
- What are the responsibilities of the role of Partnership Director and what are your main objectives for the coming year?
As Partnership Director my responsibilities include identifying and cultivating relationships with organisations that align with The Network’s values, developing strategic partnerships and ensuring these collaborations contribute positively to our community. I will also focus on maintaining strong connections with existing partners facilitating alignment between their contributions and the association’s goals.
For the coming year my priority will be to build thoughtful and value-driven alliances that enhance the membership experience and bring more value to our community, in line with The Network’s vision and long-term goals.
- How do you see partnerships contributing to the growth and impact of The Network in Luxembourg?
Partnerships will be essential to strengthening our sustainability, expanding our reach and reinforcing The Network’s credibility. They will also help foster a partnership culture that reflects The Network’s values and ambition.
- What qualities do you look for in potential partners or collaborators?
Key qualities I look for potential partners and collaborators include:
- Curiosity and creativity: partners that are open to new ideas, innovative and willing to explore fresh approaches.
- Integrity: those who operate ethically, make considered decisions and align with The Network’s values.
- Engagement and involvement: I look for partners who want to actively participate and that are interested in investing time and energy.
- Reliability: partners that have the ability to “walk the talk” and follow through commitments.
- Vision and purpose alignment: we need partners that see the bigger picture and understand the impact of collaboration.
- The Network’s mission is to help women thrive professionally and support one another. How do you see partnerships playing a role in advancing this mission?
Partnerships will play a central role in advancing The Network’s mission by driving concrete actions, mobilising resources, providing substantial support and expertise, creating opportunities, removing barriers and demonstrating specifically their commitment to show up.
- Finally, what message would you like to share with the members of The Network as you begin this new chapter?
First of all I am very excited to begin this journey and look forward to meet and connect with our members in the coming weeks and months. I also want to congratulate all of you for showing up, and thank you for contributing with your presence, your feedback, and the energy you bring to this community. You are the reason The Network continues to grow into a space where every woman, regardless of age, background or culture feels welcome, supported and safe. Your engagement is what makes this place vibrant and special. Together we have the power to lift one another and to shape a future where every voice matters.
